Cumbrian Homes Showhome
24th June 2016

We starting talking to Cumbrian Homes 3 years ago about supplying our tiles and stone. The quality of the finishes at Cumbrian Homes is fantastic and they go the extra mile to push the quality and service to there clients.

After many meetings with Nigel & Helen Palister the owners and founders of the company, we discussed using combinations of natural stone and porcelains in the showhome. We had to find a way to compliment the property with different stones with use of porcelain. The Tasman planked effect give of the wow factor, then subtle tones used with stone around the rest of the property. We both was in agreement that we had found the right pieces for the showhome.

Full specification checks was made by ourselves on site prior. This service we promote to all our customers trade and retail alongside design consultancy in showroom or site visits.

With Cumbrian Homes check, we advised and supplied Dural CI Matting on all floor areas, with use of tilemaster adhesives. In kitchen area's we supplied Micro Joint Infill colour matched to Grout 3000 light grey from Tilemaster to compensate for additional movement that could occur. We tanked all shower and wet spaces with Dural showerproof membranes.

We facilitated product design and advised the tiler on site Paul Birkett Construction, ensuring correct steps where made on the finishes.

Cumbrian Homes have now had there official opening day with the showhome and feedback on the tile and stone choice are amazing from clients at Cumbrian and activity on social media. We are working closely with Cumbrian Homes on the rest of the 39 houses giving individuality to each house from with our range. Our personal objective is to create spaces that is personal to our customers, helping to visualise in the showroom or on site, ultimately designing and creating one of spaces with use of tile and stone.

Total - 16 Warm Up Underfloor Heating
07th August 2015

A low build, no screed required, lightweight, yet heavy duty hydronic solution

Installers specifying hydronic underfloor heating solutions are often faced with a number of challenges such as; floor height restrictions, cumbersome heating panels, and the inability to immediately tile directly over the heating system. Warmup’s aim is to bring you products which provide a solution to these challenges; making installation easier, faster and therefore increasing your profit margin.

The Total-16 Low Profile System from Warmup is a thin, durable, no screed required, adaptable hydronic system. Working with screed leads to a messy and time consuming installation. With Total-16 you eliminate this unpleasant stage, consequently reducing time and cost from the floor creation process. As the system does not need to heat the screed, Total-16 is able to heat up a room in minutes not hours.

Total-16 comprises of three modular boards – straight, return, and multi-feed. The straight boards come complete with pre-installed aluminium heat diffusion plates. At only 16mm thick, with a 12mm PEX-A pipe, the system will have minimal impact on floor levels. This makes Total-16 ideal for retrofitting, and installations to off plan specifications. With the three boards weighing a total of only 1.7kg, the system is lightweight and easy to handle, allowing for rapid installation. The high density, moulded EPS supports up to 40 tonnes per m², making light work of heavy loads.

In line with Warmup’s practice of offering the best warranties and guarantees, Total-16 comes complete with a Lifetime Warranty and SafetyNetTM Installation Guarantee. This guarantee means if you accidentally damage the system during installation, Warmup will replace it free of charge!

When selecting a thermostat to control the Total-16 Low Profile System, Warmup’s 4iE Smart WiFi Thermostat is the perfect solution. The 4iE offers your customer energy saving advice based on our market leading R&D, following the on screen tips can save homeowners up to £200 a year on energy bills. Fashion at the Emporium with award winning fashion designer JAMES STEWARD
19th September 2014
James Steward is an award winning fashion designer based in Leeds

Twice winner of 'Designer of the year' and twice winner of 'Yorkshire Brides Couture Designer of the year', for his bespoke wedding dress designs, James has been described as ' setting a breathless fashion pace, together with devastating new heights in couture wedding gown design'.

James was also the first British designer to show at Vancouver fashion week in 2010, where his ready-to-wear collection received great appraisal in both Canada and Asia.

Passionate about process and craft, James makes clothes that celebrate the body as well as the body in motion. The process begins with intuition and instinct. It's a fluid progression with no set beginning, middle or end, allowing for the spontaneity that leads to the innovation and evolution of his designs. Influenced heavily by fashion history and creative pattern cutting, James' designs are both timeless and feminine. Each individual piece is born from a long research process with the aim being for the wearer to fully appreciate what they have and to feel both comfortable and attractive!

Having moved to Rome in 1998, James received an apprenticeship at the internationally acclaimed fashion house, Gattinoni Couture. With a client list that covered Audrey Hepburn and Eva Peron to Arabian royalty and even the Pope.

James was exposed to dress design, pattern cutting and embroidery design using the finest Swarovski crystals. Although all the credit went to the fashion house, James Stewards designs were gracing the pages of Italian Vogue, photographed by the likes of Peter Lindbergh, Ellen Von Unwerth and Steven Meisel.

Returning to the U.K, James moved to Leeds where he set up a boutique, Aqua Couture, making an immediate impact on the northern city with his unique and eye-catching designs, combining his valuable couture skills and passion for creating individual pieces.

His bridalwear (Unbridaled) received further acclaim, being taken on by Coronation Street to design and produce the gowns for the on-screen weddings, working closely with the costume department at ITV and the actresses themselves, resulting in his creations being transmitted into more than 13 million homes nationwide and millions more magazines.

Still staying true to his design vision, James Steward has a strong following for his bespoke service, creating items for clients as far as Dubai and New York, and a host of celebrities. James currently dresses British actress Katherine Kelly for every red carpet occasion, from the BAFTA's to the Soap Awards, and all her personal and television appearances.
